Because the bulk of your cash is going towards noob ship and industrial kills in high sec. Makes sent to hunt the sheep in highsec while the wolves roam around freely in low/null. Right? jack1974 > can still call me zeus :) if you want Danalee > Jack is more humble :) |

Go to low sec , kill a few ppl or pos/s and see what bulk cash or rewards you can get :) Give it a few days , you might be surprised , marmite is doing a part of the plan (yes theres a plan) I am not afraid of an army of lions led by a sheep; I am afraid of an army of sheep led by a lion. Just have fun killing stuff in a mindless fashion and leave the thinking to me
Oh I thought you wanted to be effective. If you want to get revenge wouldn't you want to kill the "lions" that killed you? The sheep in high sec will always be sheep. From my point of view you are paying big money for lounge chair kills while leaving the "harder" work available for an undisclosed amount. You should disclose it.
Very simple terms: Tri pvpers have zero reason to enter high sec therefore they will be in low/null. If you want the pvpers to die, the ones that killed you, you will want to encourage merc groups to go to low/null.
My proposition: Since you are paying 500 mil a week plus bonus's to trim the hedges then you should offer 2 bill a week for a group to chop down the tree's in low/null. More work = more money. jack1974 > can still call me zeus :) if you want Danalee > Jack is more humble :) |

From an accounting stand point I obviously don't agree with said tactics.
From a guns for hire standpoint this guy has the right idea. To be honest if Tri has any sort of logistical spine in highsec Marmite will eventually run into it. Marmite is simply larger than the other mercenaries therefore they have the largest zone of influence. It's also hard to say Marmite without mentioning Freight Club in the mix because all JF pilots are aware of their intentions.
From an aggressive mercenary alliance stand point the contract presented to Tora wouldn't have suited my alliance anyways. Null bears are already scared of high-sec as is so why would a smart pvp-er come to our turf? In the history of Eve I have never seen a consistent showing of low/null bears imposing their will on high-sec. I say this doesn't suit my alliance because I yell at my guys for killing carebears in high sec in regards to pilots getting soft if they only kill the blind. PVP is the only "practice" one needs in high-sec therefore I think my alliance's views are a bit more extreme than Marmite's.
If Tri came to highsec for the sake of content I would gladly help this cause. I'm willing to bet though that their pride won't allow them to come visit....
Predictions for first month: Marmite kill 5 bill Tri kill 200 mil jack1974 > can still call me zeus :) if you want Danalee > Jack is more humble :) |

fido goran wrote:So how does that work with HS wardecs? Do you both dock up when the other enters system? Or is there some other meta I'm missing here?
Considering we regularly harvest merc tears and blitz all those that fight back.... It's safe to say we don't dock up.
Some people create high sec pvp alts to sit on a station. That's fine
Some people create high sec pvp alts to sit on a gate. That's also fine.
Lastly, very few people create high sec pvp alts to hunt other mercs. This is what PoH does.
If you haven't heard of us then you don't know the first thing about high sec. Therefore I see this issue as a high-sec versus null-sec issue so I'll side with Marmite on this one. No worries Tri, you won't find us on a station. jack1974 > can still call me zeus :) if you want Danalee > Jack is more humble :) |

PoD merged into Break A Wish a few months ago but nonetheless they were solid mercs.
Now for us, we've won every merc on merc contract admitted to us. No matter the space(null, WH, low, high) we have succeeded. I suppose you can decide if we are worthless. jack1974 > can still call me zeus :) if you want Danalee > Jack is more humble :) |
